It’s the season of altruism! Altruism means putting others’ needs before our own. And it’s altruism that has inspired this month’s theme: Girls Can Change the World. When we put others’ needs before our own, we start thinking differently. We start thinking about how we can help others. How we can make the world better. And when more of us think this way, an amazing thing happens. We take action and we CHANGE the world. So even if you didn’t take the Thanksgiving Word of the Week Challenge, now you know what altruism is all about and and how we can change the world, together! So be sure to check it out and take the challenge every week, girls! (Oh, and by the way, you might even win a prize!)
For December, we’re so excited to introduce the new Girls Can Change the World Club. This is an idea that our very own, @edelene shared with us as part of Be the Change November. So we decided to make it happen!
Here’s how this special December Theme and Club idea works:
1. Starting today, we have a brand, new club called Girls Can Change the World. Join it today!
2. Every month, we’ll add a special challenge for girls to take. When girls complete the challenge, they’ll post it in the Girls Can Change the World Club. For January, just join the club and say how you think Girls Can Change the World
3. Then, each month we’ll vote for a winner. The winner will get a Day of the Girl t-shirt!
Each month, on the 30th, we’ll announce a random winner! Every girl who posts something to the Girls Can Change the World Club will automatically get entered into the drawing. The more you post, the better your chances of winning!
This holiday season, let’s remember that the greatest gift we can get or give, is our kindness to each other. The warmth of family and friends around us this is more precious than any gift you can buy. So cheers to all iTwixie girls, from Texas to Turkey, London to LA, and Pakistan to Pennsylvania! You are the girls who are making this world a better place. YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD and YOU ROCK!
Happy Girls Can Change the World December!
