Introducing iTwixie’s She Rocks!

It’s our chance to shine a light on an amazing woman or girl who offers us incredible character traits or accomplishments to emulate. This week, we are shining the light on Jill Abramson. She Rocks!

Jill was the first woman to hold the post as the New York Times Executive Editor. Her fans call her smart, bold, brave and a straight-shooter. She rocked her job and she’s a great role model for us all.

This weekend she said, to a crowd of graduates from Wake Forest University:

“My mother was a great knitter, and she made some really magnificent things, but she also made a few itchy, frankly hideous sweaters for me. She left some things unfinished. So today, you gorgeous, brilliant people, get on with your knitting,” Jill Abramson

Get it? Ha ha!

Who should be our next Role Model of the Week? Tell us all about her right here, and be sure to check back next week to see if she’s the one we pick!

And tell us, what do you want to do when you grow up? Take our poll:

Which of these jobs do you want when you grow up?
