How Did You Celebrate Canada Day?
July 1, 2012
0

Canada Day is celebrated on July 1st across Canada. The first Canada Day in 1867 marked the unity of 3 separate British colonies into one country, Canada!

To most people in Canada, the day means means fireworks and the year’s biggest national party. The Canada Day holiday is akin to the U.S. July 4th celebration but on a more Canadian scale, of course.

Here are the lyrics to “O Canada,” which is Canada’s national anthem!

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

How did you celebrate Canada Day?

Happy Canada Day!  :)
