Some male fallow deer call so often and so loudly that they lose their voices! Apparently, male deer put everything they can into those calls. The calls must be very important to them.
Fun Fact: A baby deer, or fawn, takes its first steps just 20 minutes after it’s born!
And, get this: Deer have hollow strands of hair – it keeps them insulated to stay warm during the winter AND it helps them float so they don’t drown. How cool is that?
