Final Step: Fabric Pillow Design Project!
September 18, 2009

You’re going to love how easy this is! Thanks Elle and Anne!

Check it out:

1.  Sew your pillow around each edge using about 1/2″ seam and leave about 4 inches without stitching  so that you can turn it inside out.

2.  Turn your pillow inside out and iron it to get out any wrinkles.

3.  Next stuff your pillow with the silky soft filler (or whatever filler you chose)… a wooden spoon handle makes stuffing the corners easy.

4.  Lastly, sew your 4 inch opening by hand to close the pillow…use a small stitch called “whipstitch” or a small stitch that won’t be too easy to see.

That’s it!!  Enjoy your pillow!  You can add beads or trim by hand to make it match your room.  You can even change out those “embellishments” later if you change your room color… just snip off your trim or beading and replace it with new! Cool, right?

Send in pictures of your pillows to submissions@itwixie.com!  We can’t wait to see them all!
