Happy Chinese (Lunar) New Year!
January 23, 2012

You can also make some Chinese recipes like Chinese Corn Soup shown today or iTwixie’s New Year Noodles! Both are easy and tasty :)

Here are special traditions that some families observe:

  • In the weeks before the end of the year, families repaint their houses and thoroughly clean to clear out bad luck, making way for the good fortune of the New Year.
  • Then begins a two-week celebration with special food and family gatherings.
  • This is busiest travel time of year in most of Asia because it is so important to be with family and loved ones for the New Year festivities.

Do you or any of your BFFs celebrate the Chinese New Year? How do you celebrate?
