Is Your Daughter a Future Storm Chaser?

Here’s why, parents:
SatelliteThere are many ways to develop your daughter’s interest in climate and atmospheric science, regardless of age. 

K-6 girls can take the Global Climate Challenge or learn how the greenhouse effect or the components of a weather system or let them find out the weather forecast during your next trip.

Seventh-twelfth grade girls can join NASA as understand how Earth’s atmosphere effects shuttle missions; the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides a multitude of resources.  Pre-college or summer programs comprise a great way to explore atmospheric sciences.

Girls can also find a mentor for advice, find internship opportunities or participate in GLOBE Student Climate Research Campaign, now!

Dr. Karen Kosiba, drives a Doppler vehicle to work everyday.  Find out what it’s like to Track Tornadoes Across the Great Plains with one of our Nifty Fifty Scientists!
