NCAA's Winningest Coach, Pat Summitt, Will Inspire YOU!
April 20, 2012

“I’ve loved being the head coach at Tennessee for 38 years,” Pat Summitt said.

38 YEARS! Holy cow! That’s a long, long time. She’s amazing.

Summitt’s record of 1,098 WINS and 208 losses is historical. In fact, She won more games than any other basketball coach in N.C.A.A. history.

And get this, she also brought 8 teams to the national championship game and WON! She brought 18 teams to the Final Fours, won 16 conference titles and 16 SEC tournament championships.

She is an amazing woman. Coach. Person.

She coached the 1984 Olympic team to win a gold medal!!!! And it’s an incredible fact, too, that every one of her players who completed her eligibility at Tennessee graduated.

Tennessee Athletic Director Dave Hart said, “She is an icon who does not view herself in that light, and her legacy is well-defined and everlasting,” and that “She is an inspiration to everyone.”

So, iTwixie girl, do you feel inspired? Is Pat Summitt an inspiration to YOU? Tell us why right here… and let’s celebrate this amazing woman right here on iTwixie! Woot woot!
