Cheers! to Tricky Monkeys!

In South America, researchers from Stony Brook University observed small monkeys calling an alarm when there was no danger, just to get larger monkeys to run away from the food.  And it WORKED!  More food for the smaller monkeys!

Playing tricks is definitely a human behavior.  It’s fun to play tricks sometimes, right?  Some people even play tricks on others to get their own way. That’s why biologists are so fascinated about how monkeys seem to trick each other, just like humans do!

Do you love monkeys?  So does iTwixie!  Check out these other iTwixie articles on monkeys: Snow Monkeys Like Hot Baths and  Would You Tickle a Monkey?
