Now you get to choose iTwixie Writer of the Month for June! KEWL!

Here are the entries:

1) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…our car made some banging noise on the way there! I heard some weird noise coming from the trunk, and figured it was all of our beach stuff. But mom and dad stopped the car to see what it was.”Mo-om! Hurry up, I wanna go to the beach!” ; My little brother Daniel said. He groaned again and again until I punched him in the arm to stop. Mom and dad were looking under the car, under the car front, and their last stop was in the trunk. They searched underneath all the blankets, and found our dog, Kiley! We all started to laugh.”Wow! Guess Kiley really wanted to come, huh!” Mom said. We all laughed, and started up the car again. Summer, here we come!     ~ iCourage

2) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…I went surfing one day. It was my first day surfing without an instructor, but my dad was with. I got my arm bit off by a shark.  ~ rangermetis

3) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…it was my birthday and i thought i was going to have the very best birthday in my life time, but that all changed when almost every person in my family forgot about my b-day. then sent me work with my granma a hoil 4 hours away from my house. so all i did that summer was sit around and do nothing. :dry : so i ask my mom after the summer was over if she really forgot and all she did was slowly walk out with her pers, so we have an answer. and that ‘s why i don’t like summer anymore.  ~ GuitarNinja

4) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…my mom and my dad split up. I had to move to Michigan! Can you believe it ! I had to leave all of my friends ( and the beach ) behind . Now I can only hope for a couple of days per year to see my dad back in FL .  ~ tt0803

5) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…My mom said we wern’t going to the beach this year . “Instead, we are going on a missions trip to India!” My mom and dad had always talked about going on a missions trip, but I never thought it would really happen. Now it is! I’m both excited and nervous. How will I talk to the people there? Do any of them know english? “Mom, when are we leaving?” “In 2 weeks. We will be there until the end of July.” This is going to be an adventure!  ~ blueowl628

6) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…I slid down my BFF’s pool slide and broke my arm. Now I can’t go in the pool, go to the beach, or hang out at the town amusement park. It is so unfair! But most of all I can’t go to dance camp. I couldn’t wait to learn some new hip hop, jazz, and ballet moves!  ~ Jordie101

7) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…my parents picked me up and moved us to Alaska. No beaches, no palm trees, no need for cute sunglasses, just snow. And I HATE snow. “It’s not so bad! Look, you can go to a ski resort. We’re going,” my mom said in an attempt to cheer me up. I packed what little stuff I had with me and bought a new pair of skis and all. When we
got there, it was a beautiful winter wonderland! Skiing, ski lifts, hot cocoa in the lodge, it was paradise . Now I have a new reason to be thankful for summer: a ski resort!  ~ thinktank101

8) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…I found out my best friend Cindi was moving away. We were planning so much stuff in the summer. Shopping, trips, going to the beach, amusement parks, parties, we basically had our whole summer planned! But her dad just HAD to take that job. His old job paid fine, why the heck did he have to move ?! I wanted them to stay here, because Cindi’s one of my only friends. I wish she could stay here some way…but how? Wait a sec. That light bulb thingy just went off in my head. Cindi could move in with me! I mean, her mom lives in India, and since her dad’s the only one staying with her, then it’s the perfect plan!
Two minutes later… She can stay! I asked my mom, and she said okay. But that only leaves Cindi’s dad…I texted Cindi and told her she could stay if her dad was cool with it. I t took two hours, many text messages, and a very long call withmy mom, but I did it. Cindi can stay with me! No…

9) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when..I left all of my friends in VA. We moved to NC so my mom and stepdad could get married. I left my best friend Miranda. I went to school in kindergarten but left that school to go to another one . I still had play-dates but it was not the same without seeing her in school. When we moved to NC in second grade I never got to see her. I only saw her once in 5 years. We still email, text, and call each other but it is not the same. This is the year I moved away from one of my BFF’s!  ~ CuppyCakes

10) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…mum got sick, really sick. So we had to stay home care of her me, dad and max my brother. I miss her so much. I cry my eyes out everyday but I believe she will get better.  ~ PrincessKatniss

11) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…the accident happened. It was just last summer. My friend and I were just playing on the beach like we did every summer since we were little. Her name was Alex. Alex was the most daring 11 year old girl at school. She would do anything anyone told her to, no matter how disgusting it could possibly be. On that hot summer day, she decided she would go swimming in the ocean. We were 11. We were dumb. We didn’t know that the ocean was infested with sharks. I told her not to go. I was terribly afraid. “I have to do it,” she had told me. It’s just a summer challenge!” So she ran into the ocean. The waves swallowed her up right away, and I reassured myself when she didn’t come back after a few minutes that she was safe. I waited for two…  ~ midnightdancer

12) Summer used to be my favorite time of year. When school was out and the weather was warm, all I could think of was going to the beach. All that changed when…the hurricane struck. It was enormous, strong, and out to get us. When we heard it was coming, we joined the long line of cars headed away from the coast. But we were too late. My brother is in the hospital now, and our home and car are totaled. I only hope we can rebuild the life we had.  ~ SparrowSong
