The number one tip, no kidding, is take lots and lots of pictures! You will see what you like and what you do not AND you will take better photos!
While you snap away, try to do these 3 things:
1) Lighting – morning or evening light works great to get the best color in outdoor photos. Inside, a flash can help you when photographing things up close.
2) Focus – Be sure the subject of your photo is in the center of your lens and is in focus – you know, you don’t see a blurry image when you look through the lens.
3) Frame – This is a big idea – try and think about what’s around the subject of your photo. If you’re taking a picture of your dog, for example, think about whether you like a bone in the background or a tree. As you take more pictures, you’ll notice what you like more and more.
The Big Summer Photo Album will be posted on August 26th.
