Speak Out About Bullying!
October 31, 2012

Bullying. It’s something no one wants to go through, or even talk about. But I’m going to talk about here and now, on iTwixie. I’m gonna come out straight. I was bullied last year, and I felt hopeless, useless, and unworthy. Those are three things iTwixie girls should NEVER have to go through. Here is my story and if you’re ready, tell me yours.

”Last year was a bad year for me. I was a victim of bullying. I was scared, and I felt like I was alone and couldn’t ever get help. It started when I was the new kid. We all know that feeling, except not every new kid is in such a bad place at the beginning of the year. If I learned one thing, it was to never sink down to their level. I learned this because that’s just what I did. It made me feel stronger and more powerful in some sort of twisted way. Except, it didn’t work. I lost more than half my friends and I didn’t get all of them back. I felt the need to cry every night. I slipped into depression. It was awful. I felt like I couldn’t take it anymore.”

Let my story be a warning about what can happen if you or someone else is bullying someone. It made me feel so hopeless and alone.

Thank you, ! You are so right. AND, you are not alone. Every girl around the world stands with you… no one deserves to be bullied! So always get a trusted adult involved to confront and stop bullying. It really works!

On this last day of Bully Prevention Month, let’s agree to stand together against bullying! Check out Silence4AChange and musicslayer4lyf to help keep the chat going!
