1) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when… my family took that trip to Hawaii. Where I lived, it was only 20 degrees, and that’s why we took our vacation. I remember when I asked my friend, Alyssa, if we had any snow while I was gone. “Nope.” She replied casually. It was only a week until Christmas then, so I didn’t freak out. On Christmas morning, my brother and I raced down the hall to open our presents. Then I looked out the window. It was SUNNY! What? No snow? “Oh well, maybe we’ll get some in January.” My brother said. Good times. I am looking out the window now… Guess what? It’s snowing! I knew there would be snow this year. “Hey mom, can we bring out our sleds?” “Sure, just don’t get too cold!”

2) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…my BFF and I went sledding down a 80 degree hill in Montana. Then after the ride (it took FIVE minutes) we couldn’t get back u p the hill! We tried to climb it first but one-eighth of the way up we slipped and tumbled back down we finally saw, after 6 mins of looking for a way to get up, a snowcovered sidewalk which led back to our starting spot! After 25 runs of this CRAZY hill we went home to some hot coco.

the parties, the fun. Then there is a knock at my door. “Come in” I say.
“Christa! Lets go make a snowman!!” my little sister and brother say. “But there is no-” Looking out the window I was cut off. There was almost a foot of snow out there! “Okay lets go!” I said. We played outside with a bunch of the neighbor kids and the snow never melted. It was like a Christmas miracle from God.

4) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…I was up in Canada! Skiing down the bunny slope, getting to wear all my winter coats. Going to restaurants that are bizarre in Florida, or to malls that are full of bubble tea. Tim Hortons is there Dunkin Dounts, and McDonalds is nowhere to be found. Click, take a pic,
and remember this moment, and keep it safe for you never know what it might bring back later on in life.

5) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…I met snow elves last year. I crashed my sled, and they jumped out of a tree. It happened to be the tree I crashed into. I said hi to them, but my friend said no one was there, and that I should probably go home. Why would I do that when I’d just met magical snow elves that live in trees? That doesn’t happen too often. That was an awesome day. The thing is, I woke up the next morning with a big bump on my head. Weird.

6) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…I spent Christmas in Tahoe. I woke up Christmas morning, and instead of running to open my presents, I ran out to enjoy the snow. It just doesn’t seem like Christmas with out the snow. I can’t make a snowman, and I can’t have snow ball fights. It continues to rain and I keep wishing this rain will turn into snow, but so far my wishes haven’t come true…..

7) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…I traveled to the mid-west. My mind was still spinning from the 11 hour traveling time. It was a truly phenominal place. I felt as though I could still see my cousins climbing on the monkey bars at the gusty playground, as I climbed with them. I rolled down the hill and screamed as I did so. I felt like a kid. I felt like I could do anything without any snotty high-schoolers making fun of me. I felt like I could climb to that highest bar, and touch the clouds if I wanted to! But now, it was almost my birthday. Only about 2 weeks away. And then, this might change. I might not be able to be a kid for very much longer without me being the snotty high schooler laughing at us kids. Well, ya know what? I’m going to be a kid. Forever. You can never take this spirit outta me, cuz no matter what true age I am, I will never, ever stop be…

8) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…
me and my BFF got to have a sleep-over on Christmas eve! When I saw a glimpse of her stocking, i was amazed at what I saw! Her stocking had everything about Christmas. It had reindeer, bells, doves, a Christmas tree, even you guessed it, Santa Claus! And all in beautiful knitting! It was wonderful.

9) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…
A year of Food We were making cookies and my brothers got some dough on the ceiling! We had to stand on the counter to get it off. My dad was so mad. Cookies on the ceiling meant less cookies in his stomach! At least our kitchen smells like gingerbread. Much better than the spinach from last November!

10) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…There was so much snow on Christmas, it took weeks and weeks to melt! Those were the days. Everything is gone though. The puny little tree in Polly and Tyler’s house (my foster parents) just isn’t the same as the big round trees my dad and I chose each year. Polly and Tyler are nice enough, I guess, but I really miss my parents. Nothing good has happened yet this year. Wait… what’s that out there? SNOW?? WOOHOO! Polly! Tyler! I’m going outside!!!

11) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when…i was little. The snow would fall, and i would LOVE to go outside, scoop up big clumps of snow my mittened hands and throw it at my little sister, giggling. Then i would make a snowman, and a snow girl, and two little snowkids. Don’t forget the snowdog! Then came sledding, i would sit on my little blue sled and spin down the big hill, screaming hysterically, then crawling back up to do it again. Then i would go back inside with a red nose and pink cheeks, for hot cocoa. Too Bad that year wasn’t this year.

12) Still no snow! Christmas is already almost a month ago. Crazy memories still swim in my mind of the great time I had when..my band went on tour in Michigan. Instead of my reflection, I see all the memories we made. Sammy annoying the librarian in Detroit hitting his drumsticks against the books, Ariel singing her heart out at Karoke Night at Hard Rock Cafe. George and I on our first date. I turn back to my group. “Remember when…”
