1. I, Amara, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s… a man. ”Do I know you?” I ask. The man laughs. ” Yes, yes. You might remember me, Amara. I’m your father!”

2. I, June , am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…not the sky I see, but a man. He smiles down at me. “Hello, June.” He must have been down at the orphan age. I’m registered there, but I don’t really live there. “Hello, sir.” I say. I know my manners, but most times I just choose to ignore them. “How much, on a scale of 1 to 100, would you like to live in a rich house, with a mother, father, big sister, and big brother, and possibly a pet cat?” His words don’t surprise me. Everyone always wants to torment and torture the orphan by getting her hopes up, then throwing them off a cliff. “99.67″ I reply. He looks amused. “What about the other .33 percent?” I stare into eyes. “They’d have to be pretty nice, too.” He takes my money bucket. “Hey! I need that!” I cry. “Not anymore!” The man replies. “Because you’ll get all those things you want 99.67 percent, today!”   ~ lifeliver166

3. I, Maci, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…hard to tell who it is because of the time. I don’t pay much attention to them walking away until I see a camera crew go to where the shadow went. About two minutes later I could hear singing. It was quite lovely too. I grab my basket and walk over to see who it is. My jaw dropped open as I saw it was Niall Horan from One Direction. Maybe it was a dream, maybe it wasn’t, but I was sure glad to be hearing such a beautiful voice.  ~ lubist

4. I, Colette, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…the American, who like me, had parents killed in that “accident” during vacation. He gives me a half smile and continues walking. I stand up and see where he’s going. He walks into one of the men-only restaurants in this area. As much as I want to know what he’s doing, I have money to make. I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion that the “accident” wasn’t so accidental.  ~ DarkAngelNikita

5. I, carrotchewer, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops $10 in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…Obama!

6. I am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…a ghost, I’ve seen them many times before, they talk to me and keep me company. But I knew why this ghost was here, I was ready to enter the ghost life. I willingly let go of the railing and look to the ghost. I say ” Majo tak oob la fago” and I’m taken away by the figure to a happier life. As I say goodbye to this life on Earth I am happy I will no longer have to beg for money. I know the ghost will take care of me. “Goodbye” i whisper to the earth as I get towed up by the ghost and then everything went white.

7. I, Sasha, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…a face, a familiar face she kind of looked like me. She took me by the arm and brought me to her glamerous mansion. When we got there she said the funniest thing. She said she was me, the future me! It was a shock to see all the evidence she pulled out on me. She wanted to keep me so I didn’t have to live the homeless life anymore being an orphan and all and I said yes since we have everything in common besides the boy thing but i will just worry about that when i get older. I was put into a good school with fancy clothes and a way fancy house with the perfect…..well family I can’t really say mom because she is me. All I’m worried about is how I will live after this. ~

8. I, Becky Victoria Stout, am sitting (in front of a store) begging for money. It’s hard being a homeless orphan, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. A shady figure drops money in the basket I have sitting out for people to put money in. When I look up, it’s…the wealthiest man in all of the city! His kind eyes looked at me with real sympathy, instead of the usual, “I’d give you my spare change, or whatever is left of my MacDonald’s, but I’m in a rush” sort of glance. Suddenly, he pointed to the basket, and the money that he had dropped in. “Use your recources wisely”, he said,”and don’t buy fleeting things. People with much money, like me, have not learned this skill, and when the time comes when we need it, the art of being frugal will be lost to us. But not you, and in this way you are lucky.” With that, he walked away, leaving me to ponder that it really is all about perspective.  ~ Zebraangel
